The CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week has been found

November 10, 2016

Come 1 December Camilla Frank will take over the position as chief executive officer of Copenhagen Fashion Week succeeding Eva Kruse.

Copenhagen Fashion Week is in the middle of an interesting development revitalising the already strong fashion week platform in collaboration with the most important industry players. And now the new CEO, who will implement the strategy next year, has been found. As of 1 December current CEO Eva Kruse will pass on the baton to Camilla Frank. Eva Kruse will go on to focus solely on Danish Fashion Institute’s new ambitious strategy regarding sustainability and Copenhagen Fashion Summit.

About the new CEO, the chairman of Copenhagen Fashion Week Niels Eskildsen says:

”It has been an exciting process finding the right candidate to follow in Eva Kruse’s footsteps. I am convinced that we have found the right person to implement the new strategy for the fashion week and to take it to the next level.”

A familiar face in the Danish fashion industry
With 15 years of experience from the Danish media industry as editor in chief of several Danish magazines and lately as co-founder and Director of Fashion-Post, Camilla Frank is a familiar face in the Danish fashion industry.

”I believe that Camilla has the right profile to take on the comprehensive role of leading Copenhagen Fashion Week. Furthermore, we are in the midst of developing a new strategy for the fashion week, so there will be ample opportunity for a new CEO to partake in forming the future fashion week platform. And on a personal note, I very much look forward to working with Camilla,” says Eva Kruse.

As CEO Camilla Frank will develop and drive the largest fashion event in the Nordic Region. A job she looks forward to taking on:

”Copenhagen Fashion Week is a strong brand both nationally and internationally, which I have watched from the sidelines for many years. It will be a great task to both carry on and revitalise an already acknowledged fashion week. I look forward to starting and getting to know all the employees – and together with them lift the new strategy, which can be experienced already next year.”
