Copenhagen Fashion Week just announced the show schedule for this winter’s fashion week, which has grown and includes no less than 32 shows. As a new initiative, the show schedule will open Tuesday afternoon to create a better flow Wednesday and Thursday and to make room Friday for the press to visit the trade fairs and the many other showrooms and activities in Copenhagen, including The Jewellery Room. This winter’s Copenhagen Fashion Week will thereby run from Tuesday 31 January until Friday 3 February.
The entire fashion week will kick off with a grand opening lunch for 300 guests Tuesday 31 January. The opening event will be a joint initiative between the Danish fashion industry associations WEAR, Dansk Fashion and Textile, the trade fairs CIFF and Revolver as well as the Copenhagen Fashion Week office. The event will be followed by the strong Danish womenswear and menswear brand Won Hundred that has the honour of opening fashion week.
Old acquaintances and new talents take the show stage
There is an array of talents on the schedule including well-known Danish show brands such as By Malene Birger, Mark Kenly Domino Tan and Ganni as well as new talents, which this season counts e.g. Cecilie Bahnsen and Tonsure, both previous winners of the award DANSK Design Talent - Magasin. And in terms of menswear, I cannot remember when we last had so many interesting designers on the schedule. We look forward to hosting a fantastic fashion week in Europe’s cosiest city,” says Copenhagen Fashion Week’s CEO Camilla Frank.
